Wanda Jean Mansfield, 76 of Omaha, Arkansas, formerly of Batesville, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Omaha, Arkansas. Born April 10, 1937, at Des Arc, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Queenie Naomi Gross.
Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Bell & husband Micheal Bell of Omaha and Sandra Stroud & husband Rodney Stroud of Batesville; two sons, Carl Mansfield & wife Andrea Mansfield of Omaha and Robert Mansfield & wife Serina Mansfield of Omaha; 17 grandchildren, Mikey Bell, Stacy Bell, Billie Bell, TJ Stroud, Teela Baxter, Hannah Stroud, Kate Stroud, Josh Mansfield, Landon Mansfield, Dylan Schnidt, James Mansfield, Justin Mansfield, Victoria Mansfield, Josiah Mansfield, Jonathan Bailey, Trista Mansfield and Billy Earl Mansfield; 28 great-grandchildren.
She was a wonderful wife and mother of five children. Her interests included attending her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events, yard sales, gardening, reading and cooking for everyone. She was always happy, had a great sense of humor and dedicated her life to serving others. Her family was her greatest joy and passion.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Billy Wayne Mansfield and son, Jerry Wayne Mansfield.
A gathering of remembrance will be from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 9 at The Compass Church in Moorefield.
