She was born Nov. 5, 1873, in Fairview, Sanpete county, a daughter of John and Marie Forbush Vance.
She was married to James Oborn Dec. 21, 1896, in Union. He died April 6, 1936. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she had served 15 years in the Primary Assn.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs, Iona O. Dawes, Union; two grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, John a. Vance. Salt Lake City; Arthur Vance, Provo; Hyrum Vance, serving on an LDS mission to the northern states; Mrs. Mary E. Larson; Fairview and Mrs. Cadie Forbush, Monroe, Sevier county.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday noon in Union Second ward chapel by Jesse W. Thompson, bishop.
Burial will be in Murray City cemetery. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
