Francis Peter Boever was born November 14, 1927 in Granville, Iowa, the son of Herman and Lillian (Niichel) Boever. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Granville. He attended school in Granville until the 9th grade, when he moved with his family to Remsen. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1946.

Pat served his country in the United States Army National Guard from 1948 to 1954.

He was united in marriage to Marcella "Marce" Staebell on July 5, 1958 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars. In 1959, they move to Le Mars. After working for Bunker's Dairy for 10 years, he began his 32 year career with Wells' Dairy in Le Mars, retiring in 1990. Marce passed away December 16, 1996. Pat was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Green Bay Packers, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He enjoyed working outdoors in his yard. But most of all, he loved the times spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
