Roy C. Alcorn, 77, of 419 W. Elm St. died at 7:30 p.m. yesterday at the Titusville Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past four years. He was born in Vinton, Iowa on Dec. 28, 1875, a son of James A> and Celicia Crawford Alcorn. On Aug. 20, 1901, he married Florence Smith, and the couple had lived in Titusville most of their married life.
Mr. Alcorn was a painting contractor by trade. He was an old time fiddler, paving played with the Coleman band and also with the Orpheum Theater.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Hugh Alcorn of Hydetown and Joseph C. Alcorn of Cleveland, and two nieces and two nephews....
