Hartford - Philip E. Adams, age 85, a resident of Adams Road in Hartford, died peacefully, Monday, March 3rd at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 19, 1928 in Hartford, Maine, the son of Merle and Cleora (DeCosta) Adams. He attended school in Hartford and the Coburn School in Waterville.
Philip served in the U.S. Navy during W.W.I.I.
On October 15, 1947 in Lewiston he married Lucille Sanders of Leeds. She passed away December 8, 2006.

He worked in the woods and was owner and operator of Philip E. Adams Logging Company. Philip was a member of the Miramichi New Brunswick, Canada Fishing Association.

He is survived by his daughter, Marjorie Rand and her husband Kenneth of Leeds; two grandchildren, Taryn Reynolds and her husband Lee and Carrie Rand; great-grandchildren, Hailie and Lyla Reynolds, a sister, Frances Adams of Oregon; companion, Ellen Chamberlain and best lifetime friend, John Barto of NH.

He was predeceased by brothers, Robert and Virgil Adams, and a sister, Persis Palik.
