HANKINS Ralph E., 71, died Nov. 22, 2003, after a brave battle against cancer. He was born Sept. 2, 1932 in Carnegie, OK to Louie & Ola Hankins. On April 27, 1953, he married the love of his life, Nadina Hornbeck. He proudly served his country in the US Navy, during the Korean Conflict. A resident of the OKC area for the past 49 years, Ralph & Nadina were longtime members of Southern Hills Baptist Church. Ralph was a loving husband, father, & grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents; brother Bob Hankins; father in law Jake Hornbeck; brother in laws: Harley Hornbeck & Leon Houdmann; nephew Van Hornbeck. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nadina of the home; Daughters: Kathryn Nordstrom & husband, Paul, Sheryl Garris & husband, Gary; Grandchildren, Rachel & David Benditz, Kristen & Andy Carroll, Nickolas & Shauna Isbell, Cajsa Nordstrom, Sean Garris & Dane Garris; Great Grandchildren: Brenden Benditz, Maddison & Reed Carroll & Gabrielle Garris; brother Troy Hankins & wife, Donna; Sisters, Rita Horn & husband, Roy, & Nelta Robinson; sisters-in-law, Betty Hankins, Susie Tedder & husband, Joe, Mary Houdmann & Marty Hornbeck; mother-in-law LaVelle Hornbeck. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the OK Baptist Childrens Homes or Excel Hospice. Services to celebrate his life will be held 10:00 AM Wed., Nov. 26, 2003 at Southern Hills Baptist Church with interment following at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
