LESLIE SIBLEY POWELL
POWELL, LESLIE SIBLEY of Birmingham died on June 12, 2010. She was born July 2, 1916 in Brooks, GA, grew up in Atlanta, GA, and lived in Birmingham for the past 62 years and was a member of South Highlands Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charles A. Powell, Jr. (Archie), her son Charles A. Powell III (Butch), her parents, Collins and Maggie Sibley, of Atlanta, GA, her sisters Lillian Hawkins and Mildred Thompson. She is survived by her son, Collins S Powell and his wife Liz of Atlanta GA, two granddaughters, Kimberly and Darci Powell; two grandsons, Charles A. Powell IV and his wife Ashley and Christopher A. Powell; and five great-grandchildren, Liam and Sibley Powell and Chris, Devlin and Connor Powell. Visitation will be held at 10:00 Tuesday, June 15th at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 at Elmwood Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Presbyterian Home for Children, Drawer 577, Talladega, AL 35161.
