MELTON, Herb, Born January 17, 1909 in Hazen, AR to John & Lillian Melton. For over 30 years he was a wholesale salesman with Oklahoma Paper Co. & for the last 14 years owned & operated his own paper & office supply company, Herb Melton , Inc. He was a charter member of Baptist Temple Church. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Leola, son & daughter-in-law, Joe & Marianne Melton & their children Gaye, Cheryl & Kelly, all of Minneapolis, daughter & son-in-law, Laura & Morton Weir & their children, Lori, Emily & Zachary Weir, all of OKC, sister, Julia Pierce & brother, Bob Melton, both of Abilene, TX, brother & sister-in-law, James & Juanita Melton, Russellville, AR. Service 10 a.m. Tuesday, Baptist Temple Church, directed by Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to American Cancer Society or charity of donor's choice.
