Born Jan. 19, 1867, in Bornholm, Denmark, he was a son of Neils and Nicoline Lind Hansen. He came to this country at the age of 6 and later became a citizen.
His first wife, Anna Mounteer, died Jan. 5, 1908.
In April of 1919, he married Letisha Wright in Salt Lake City. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving Mr. Hansen, besides his wife, are one son, James Hansen, Redondo Beach, Cal.; a daughter Myrtle Long, Magna; five stepsons; Lawrence J. Long, Copperton; David Long, Salt Lake City, and Bill Long, Santa Clara, Cal., and three step-daughters; Mrs. Amanda Sherer, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Theresa Penelton, Magna, and Mrs. Ruth Poldon, Santa Clara Cal.
