MRS. EDGAR SLADE
Mrs. Edgar Slade 83, widow of the late Edgar Slade of Short Track, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anthonoy Casper of Oakfield, Sunday morning September 13th.
She was a native of Springville, Erie County and resided in Short Tract for fifty years. For the past few years she had been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Leo Carey, on Lima Road, Geneseo.
She is survived by five daughters; Miss Doris Slade Rochester, Mrs. Rupert Arnold Perry, Mrs. Nama Brown Perry, Mrs. Anthony Casper Oak field, Mrs. Leo Carey, Geneseo; three sons; James Slade, Sheboygen Wis.; Lloyd Slade, Indianapolis, Ind., Charles Slade, Rochester. A son George was killed in the first World War and another son Guy, died in 1900. She also leaves 27 grandchildren, five of whom are in the armed forces and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock at the home of her daughter Mrs. Leo Carey with the Rev, Joseph Sunter officiating. Burial was in the Short Tract Cemetery. Short services were held at the Methodist Church in Short Track.
