Ernest Jackson Roberson, 80, of Cameron, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Ernest Jackson was born in Jacksonville, Georgia, to the late Allen and Epsie Roberson. He graduated from Ocmulgee High and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1953 until 1955. Ernest married Faye Partee on December 21, 1955. He was the owner and operator of Johnnie's Drive-In from 1983 until 2010, and was employed by Milam Music Company from 1974 until his death.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2004; and brothers: Howard, Dudley, and Curtis.

Survivors include sons, George Roberson and wife, Guyla, of Pfafftown, North Carolina, and Partee Roberson, of Cameron; grandson, Steven Roberson; great-grandchild, Trinity; brothers, Leonard Roberson, of Columbus, Georgia, Gordon Roberson and wife, Sherry, of Macon, Georgia, and Allen Roberson, Jr., of Warner Robins, Georgia; special friend, Pat Evan.
