George D. Boucher

George D. Boucher, 81, formerly of 54 Watling St. died today in Mercy Hospital. He was born in Canada, April 18, 1889, son of the late Anthony and Catherine (Claremont) Boucher and had lived in this city for the past 50 years. He was a carpenter with Fred T. Lye Construction Co. for many years. Mr. Boucher was a member of the Carpenters' Union, Local 32 and a communicant of St. Mary's Church, East Springfield. He was the husband of the late Mary A. (MacIntyre) Boucher, who died in 1944. He leaves four daughters, Mrs. Franz Schubert of Westfield, Mrs. Theodore Cowan of Somers, Conn., Mrs. Hilda Vincensi and Mrs. Roland Cote, of this city; a brother, Joseph D. Boucher of this city; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Monday at the State Street parlor of T. P. Sampson Co. with a liturgy of Christian burial in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday afternoon and night.
