According to family records (source Kenneth Benjamin Parker 1924 - 2016) his full name was Christopher Columbus George Washington Parker, nickname 'Clum'. Was a postmaster in Canboro, MI
Information from Don Brackenbury: "Christopher Columbus George Washington Parker was born in New York, possibly in the Niagara Falls area. Around 1825 Ben and his family moved to Ontario probably the Canboro area of Haldimand Co. Canboro lies half way between Niagara Falls and Hamilton, Ontario. Lafayette (Marcus De Lafayette) Parker was born to them about 1828 and John about 1836."
One of the longest funerals in years passed through here last Monday. People from all directions gathered to do the last honors to C. G. W. Parker, Canboro's first merchant. At a ripe old age, he is gathered to his fathers, gone to join the great throng from whence no man returns.
