Flora Belle Walker, daughter of Benjamin and Ida Walker, was born in Missouri, July 3rd, 1885 and passed away at the Passavant hospital in Jacksonville, Ill., on March 11, 1943, at the age of 57 years, 8 months and seven days.

At an early age she moved with her parents to Canton, Ill., and it was there she received her education and grew to womanhood. In 1906 she was united in marriage to James Harley Blair of Glasgow. Three years later in 1909, they moved to the home farm east of Glasgow and it was here she lived until her death.

On confession of her faith and belief in Christ she united with the Glasgow Baptist church in 1914 and remained a faithful member until she was called home.

She is survived by her husband and eleven children, namely: Mrs. Pauline Hester, Mrs. Madeline Carriger, near Alsey; Mrs. Dorothy Hawkins, Jacksonville; Mrs. Mildred Ellison, Mrs. Winifred Suter, Mrs. Lois Ward, all of Erie, Ill.; Sgt. Eugene Blair of Stinson Field, San Antonio, Texas; Sgt. Howard Blair and Petty Officer Robert Blair, both stationed in Hawaii; Eldora and Jimmy at home.

Three brothers, Master Sergeant T. R. Walker of Peru, South America; Fred and Clyde Walker of Canton, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Martha Blair of Winchester; one step-sister, Mrs. Ruby Asbell of Kewanee, Ill.; and twenty five grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were conducted in the Glasgow Baptist church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. R. L. Schwab, pastor of the Winchester Christian church, delivering the funeral sermon. Three chosen hymns, "God Will Take Care of You," "Sweet Bye and Bye," and "Face to Face," were sung by a choir composed of Mrs. Clarence Adams, Mrs. Joe Sanderson, Mrs. George Leitze and H. C. McMullen with Miss Lola Coats at the piano.

The beautiful floral tributes were cared for by Harriet, Florabeth and Jennette Hester Helen and Hettie Carriger, Bonnie Blair and Mrs. Claude Haney and Mrs. Clarence Savage. Casket bearers were Claude Haney, Clarence Savage, Everette Hester, Warren Terhune, Harold McEvers and Estele Cowper. Interment was in the Glasgow cemetery.

Among the relatives called here by the death and funeral of Mrs. Harley Blair were Sgt. Eugene Blair, Stinson Field, San Antonio, Tex.; Mr. And Mrs. James Ellison, Mr. And Mrs. Albert Suter, Mrs. Virgil Ward of Erie, Ill.; Mr. And Mrs. Theo. Hawkins of Jacksonville; Mr. And Mrs. Darwin Carriger and family and Mr. And Mrs. Albert Hester and family, near Alsey; Mrs. Martha Blair and mother Mrs. Susan Blair of Winchester, besides a number of more distant relatives and friends from several other communities
