She was a cherished Mom, Sister, Grandmother, Daughter, Aunt and friend. Her family will miss her greatly but they thank God for the opportunity to have had her unconditional love and positive influence throughout their lives.
She is survived by her children, Greg Gray and wife Christina (Dallas, TX), Karla Gray (Austin, TX) and Gavin Gray and his wife Natasha (Austin, TX). She also leaves behind her identical twin sister, Karla Bell and Karla's husband Paul, as well as many beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her baby Gavin Duane Gray, her parents Karl and Phyllis Hume, her brother Alan Browne Hume and her husband Stuart Booth.
She was graduated from John Marshall High School, and she worked and resided in Oklahoma City, and later, in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. She treasured her children and focused nearly all of her energy and time on their variety of activities and sporting events. Mom (also known affectionately as "KK"), was truly happiest attending her Sons' football and basketball games, her Daughter's recitals and cheerleading events and, later, spending time with her beloved Grandchildren. This was her passion. She loved giving her time and attention to others, and she loved her dogs.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday March 4, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, Yukon, OK. A private interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City. The family asks that donations in lieu of flowers be made to any chosen charity in Karen Booth's memory.
