SYLVIA CAESAR BOYLE
1947 - 2014
Passed peacefully at her home in Boise on February 26, 2014 after a long 17 year battle with both breast and lung cancer.
Sylvia was born to George O Caesar and Mary Alice (Atkinson) Caesar on April 23, 1947 in Princeton, B C, Canada. Her family returned to Boise in 1955 after time spent in Canada, Alaska and Washington. Sylvia was a member of Bishop Kelly High School's first graduating class(1965). She graduated from Boise State College in 1969 and later earned her Master's in Public Administration from BSU in 1985.
Sylvia and Richard Wildman were married in 1969 and their two children, David and Ann, were the Blessings of that union. They were divorced in 1976.
Sylvia married Michael D Boyle in 1982. They combined their love and families for 32 happy years. They especially enjoyed their cabin ("Let It Be") in Garden Valley. They also enjoyed being "traveling buddies" on many business and pleasure trips.
Sylvia worked in management positions with the Idaho Division of the American Cancer Society and the American Red Cross Blood Services. Her final position before retirement was as Director of the Idaho State Board of Dentistry for 14 years. Sylvia was also a founding volunteer with the Idaho Ronald McDonald House and the Idaho Human Rights Education Center.
She is survived by her husband, Michael of Boise. Her son David Wildman(Kevin) of Seattle. Her daughter Ann Marie Wildman of Boise. And her two step-sons, Michael Boyle Jr.(Shelly) of Spokane and Mark Boyle of Havre de'Grace, MD.
Also surviving her is her Father, George Caesar of Boise and her Brother, Joseph S Caesar of Boise. And her two Sisters,Ginny Potter(George) of McMinnville, OR and Stella Calza(Roger) of Moscow, ID. She was "Aunt B" to many nieces and nephews.
Most joyfully, she was Oma to three grandchildren: Mason and Alice Johnson of Boise and Patrick Boyle of Spokane.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, her Mother, Mary, and a Brother, Tom Caesar(Roselle). Sylvia was Blessed with a large circle of supportive friends (especially the "Bunco Babes") to whom she is forever grateful.
A celebration of Sylvia's life will be held at Cloverdale Funeral Home at 2:00 pm on March 15. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to The Idaho Human Rights Education Center, 777 8th St.,Boise, ID 83702 or to Terry Reilly Health Services, 211 16th Ave N, PO Box 9, Nampa, ID 83653. Or to a charity of your choice .
