Beverly was born November 1, 1930 in Corry, PA, She had been a Vermilion resident since 1963 moving from Lorain.
Beverly worked as a cook at Captain Larry's Restaurant, Vermilion, for 20 years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed gambling in Windsor, playing Keno, working in the snow and gardening. She was a beautiful person and made everyone around her happy.
She was a caring and devoted mother to her five children, Judy Goble of Berlin Heights, Michelle (William) Heywood of Vermilion, Toni (Thomas) Stearns of Coconut Creek, FL and Christine (Glen) Cutcher of Vermilion; son, Phillip Newton of Sandusky; sister; Shirley L. Hanna of Luthersburg, PA; 4 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Newton, 2000; and parents, Harry and Julia (nee Evans) Wilsted; brothers, Robert, Richard and Douglas Wilsted.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 11 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. The Reverend Rich Leseganich will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
