Shirley Pryor Durbin, age 74, of Mattoon, Illinois, formerly of Spencer, passed away at St. John's Hospital in Springfield on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. She was born in Fishers, Indiana, on January 6, 1940 to James William and Genevieve Ione (Klepfer) Cummins.

Before retiring she was the night dispatcher for Mattoon Cab Company. Shirley enjoyed crossword puzzles, history of American lore, horses and computers. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Mattoon.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Matthew (Joan) Pryor of Mattoon and Daniel Pryor of Rochester, Indiana; brother, William Cummins; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, Gordon Ray Pryor, who passed away in 1965.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2014 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, with Father Mahan officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday.
