Funeral services for Joy Ann Stephens, age 87 of Cookeville, will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will only be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 10:00am till time of service at 1:00pm.
Mrs. Stephens passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. Joy Ann Stephens was born on February 12, 1926 in Wilder, TN to the late Joe and Lillian Durrum. She worked as a store clerk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Ridley Stephens; Granddaughter: April; and two sisters.
She is survived by her Daughter and Son-In-Law: Barbara and Reggie Shanks; 3 Sisters: Jane, Sue, and Nancy 1 Brother: Pete Granddaughter: Ginger 4 Great Grandchildren: Stephen, Justin, Shayna, and Ashley 7 Great-Great Grandchildren
