Logan Hardy “Pete” Durrum, age 83 of Cowan, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Willows of Winchester. Born on February 29, 1932 in Wilder, Tennessee to the late Joe Hardy and Lillian Lee (Castleberry) Durrum, Pete later served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He served the Franklin County area for almost 50 years as a plumber and electrician and was known as one of the best in his trade. Pete loved woodworking, fishing, and was a fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers and Atlanta Braves. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Durrum; sisters, Betty Durrum, Joy Stephens, Alice Stephens, Peggy Horton, and Rebecca Hunt; and brother, Joe Durrum.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow in the Moore-Cortner Chapel at 1:00 PM with Rev. Wade Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Eastern Star Cemetery in Sewanee. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
