Mrs. Polly Potter Switt, age 86, of San Augustine, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, in Lufkin. A native of Floresville, Texas, she was born to the late Alma Irene (Crain) Parrott and Tolbert Parrott on February 6, 1928.
She worked for a number of years as a Beautician and was a homemaker, and was a past member of the San Augustine Garden Club, and the Bridge Club in San Augustine.
She is survived by, Sons and daughters-in-law, Col. Michael and Sue Potter of San Antonio; Jeffrey Potter of Crandall; and Rex and Sandy Potter of Ft. Worth; grandsons, Billy Potter and Jeffrey Potter, both of San Antonio and Will Potter of Washington, D.C.; granddaughters, Amy and John Hallinan of Anchorage, Alaska; Jenny and Dennis Nicholas of Crandall and Kimberly and Patrick Greenland of Katy; great-granddaughter, Bridgette Hallinan of Anchorage, Alaska along with her significant other, Bud Prejean of San Augustine.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Col. Bill Potter, and Col. Edward Switt.
