Mrs. Ellis was born on June 24, 1927 in Brandywine, MS to William Smith and Mittie Lou Smith. She attended High school in Port Gibson, MS and later Millsap's College. In 1947 she married Charles W. Ellis and they began their life together. She was a long time member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church and Sunday school teacher. She loved gardening, all types of flowers and spending weekends at the family lodge in Thomastown, MS.
Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her parents; William and Mittie Smith.
She is survived by her husband; Charles W. Ellis, son; Bill Ellis, grandchildren; Will (Kendall) Ellis, Todd (Shelly) Ellis and Molly Ellis and Fiancé Misha, great grandchild; Hayes Ellis, Sister; Helen Duckworth and nephew; Lynn Burchfield.
