Robert Eugene Cupp
January 31, 1915 - February 20, 2014

Robert Eugene Cupp, 99, of Friendsville, MD, died Thursday, February 20, 2014, at his step-daughter, Barbara's house in Bruceton Mills, WV. Born January 31, 1915, in Brandonville, WV, he was the son of the late Melvin Ray and Alice Pearl (Frankhouser) Cupp.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, F. June (Herring) Cupp; one son, Ronald Cupp; four brothers, Charles, Dan, Martin and Ralph Cupp and one sister, Mary Barnes.
Mr. Cupp was co-owner of Cupp's Drive-In, a coal hauler, school bus driver, clerk for Frazee's Store & Restaurant and a driver for Osgood Bus Line, Morgantown, WV. He was a former mayor of Brandonville, WV and helped establish the Bruceton-Brandonville Fire Department.
He was a member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church and attended Grace Lutheran Church.
He is survived by two step-daughters, Janice Hileman, Friendsville; Barbara Livengood and husband, Myron, Bruceton Mills; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Cupp, Albright, WV; one brother, Ray Cupp, Martinsburg, WV; one sister, Alma King, Akron, OH; three grandsons, Bill Livengood and wife, Wendy; Scott Cupp; Michael Cupp and wife, Sheila and four great-grandchildren, Heidi Moran and husband, Greg; Katie Livengood, Coalton Cupp and Gage Cupp. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A, 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Peter Suwak officiating.
Interment will be in the Blooming Rose Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church or Amedasys Hospice, Morgantown, WV.
