F. June Herring Cupp
F. June Herring Cupp, 76, of 8243 Friendsville Road, Friendsville, Md., died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Monongalia General Hospital, after six weeks in intensive care.
She was born April 3, 1923, in Hazelton, daughter of the late Floyd Samuel Herring and Thelda Evelyn Livengood Frazee.
She owned and operated Cupp's Drive-in, in Friendsville, from 1957-1980, when she retired due to health problems. She attended Grace Lutheran Church, in Friendsville, and enjoyed working with the ladies group WELCA. Many years before that, she enjoyed working with the ladies group at Friendsville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert E. Cupp; two daughters and spouse, Janice Marie Hileman, of Friendsville, and Barbara Jean and Myron Livengood, of Bruceton Mills; a stepson and spouse, Ronald E. and Bonnie Cupp, of Albright; a brother, Delbert Reckart, of Painesville, Ohio; a grandson and spouse, William D. and Wendy Livengood, of Hazelton; two stepgrandchildren, Scott Cupp and his wife, Doanna, of Morgantown, and Michael Cupp, of Kingwood; two great-grandchildren, Heidi and Katie Livengood; and a stepgreat-grandchild, Coalton Cupp.
She was also preceded in death by a half brother, Johnny Ray Reckart, at birth.
Friends could call at Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 29, with the Rev. Roland E. Nairn III officiating. Burial was in Blooming Rose Cemetery. Donations: Grace Lutheran Building Fund, American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
