She was born in 1917 in Milford, Texas. Her parents had four children. Her brother died a little after his birth. She then had two sisters. Lou Edith and Dorothy Don. When she was born her parents named her Frances. She didn't like this name later so she started using her middle name Lullene. Later on in life she told people her name was Lee. Just because no one could pronounce Lullene. They never could spell it correctly; either.
