Auburn – Floyd E. Richardson, Sr., 71, a resident of Buckfield, died Friday, February 21, at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born August 9, 1942 in Wellington, the son of Elmer E. Richardson and Annie (Cook) Richardson. He was a 1962 graduate of Leavitt Institute in Turner.
He served in Army National Guard.
On September 2, 1967 at the Turner Center Church, he married his soul mate of 28 years, Pamela Parks. She passed away, December 15, 1995. Floyd and his brother "Scamp" had a school bus fleet that they owned and operated for Turner schools and he later worked for 28 years as maintenance supervisor for SAD #52.
He is survived by his mother, Annie Richardson of Turner; three daughters, Amy Farnum and her husband Kevin of West Paris; Deirdre Stone and her husband Kenny of Monson; and Kathleen Daigle and her husband, Marc of Chatham, NH., twin sons, Norman "Chuck" Richardson and Floyd "Chip" Richardson, Jr. both of Buckfield; son-in-law, David Hamann of Buckfield; three sisters, Eva Leppenan of East Greenbush, NY., Lola Budek and her husband Al of Turner; Joan Deschenes and her husband Roger of Turner; his brother, George Richardson and his wife Linda of Turner; sister-in-law, Mary Richardson of Turner; grandchildren, Megan Smith, Ashlee & Garrett Hamann, Nicole Rice, Benjamin & Joshua Farnum, Alyce Anne Richardson, Quinton Cameron, Malcolm and Maddelynne Stone; Branden, Logan, Gaige, Caden, Kaelynn, Zoë & Rutger Daigle; Mackenzie & William Richardson; great-grandchildren, Derrick Brooks, Addyson Rice, Mallory Smith and many beloved extended family members.
He was predeceased by his father, Elmer E. Richardson, his loving wife, Pamela Richardson, daughter, Heidi Hamann, his sister, Louise Richardson and his brother, "Scamp" Richardson; brothers-in-laws, Lloyd Bryant and Ray Leppenan.
