Larry D. Kistler, 71, of Atlanta, Georgia formerly of Royal Center passed away at 4:43 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Dekalb Medical Center in Atlanta. Born on October 14, 1942 in Kewanna, he was the son of the late H. Doyne and Dorothy (Appleman) Kistler. He was a 1961 Royal Center High School graduate and he attended Indiana Business College. Larry was retired from Emory University in Atlanta. He was an avid LP record collector and he enjoyed watching basketball games and going bowling. Survivors include his brother, Ronald Kistler of Kokomo, cousin, Marilyn Ringen of Knox and special friend, Ruth Sanders of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by one niece and one nephew. He was also preceded in death by brother, Dr. Gary Kistler. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2014 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Nettie Evans officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.
