GLOUCESTER - Allene Wise Olson, 92, died October 2, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Williamsburg. She was a native of Roanoke, Virginia and retired from Civil Service as an accountant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer J. Olson. Survivors include, her daughter, Janice L. Richardson and husband Langdon of Williamsburg; son, Tommy J. Everson and wife Maureen of Fort Myers, Florida; brother, William Cayton and wife Dana; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Allene loved playing cards, only if she won; enjoyed the holidays and family gatherings and if she crooked her finger and said "watch it", you knew you were in trouble. A service of remembrance officiated by the Reverend Arthur Wolz, Jr. will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013 in the chapel of Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
