Robert J. Marek, 79, of El Campo passed away on February 21, 2014. He was born in Fayetteville, Texas on December 18, 1934 to the late Robert and Claudie Malek Marek. He was a retired machinist at Alcoa and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Survivors include his wife Margaret Sulak Marek of Louise, daughters Rebecca Dluhos (Rodney) of El Campo, Deanne Hubenak of Corpus Christi, and Lisa McCrary of El Campo, sons Robert Marek of Louise and Richard Marek (Kim) of El Campo, grandchildren Sarah Reynolds (Jason), Rachel Dluhos, Bethany Hubenak (Will), Stacy Hubenak, Ashley Hubenak, Kayla McCrary, Kara McCrary, Macy Marek, and Mathew Marek, great-grandchildren Brooklyn Reynolds, and sister Evelyn Marek. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Jerry Marek.
Burial will follow services at St. Procopius Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Dluhos, Jason Reynolds, Blake Priesmeyer, Will Hubenak, Timmy Sulak, and Michael Sulak. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
