Obit. Patriot News, Harrisburg, Pa. Friday, Oct. 13, 1995. LYKENS-Roy C. Wiest, 77, of Lykens RD 1 died Wednesday in Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.
He was retired as a coal miner from Kocher Coal Co., Valley View; attended Hebe schools; was an Army veteran of World War 2; and a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Erdman and Gratz Fire Company; and a life member of Gratz VFW Post 2385. Surviving are his wife Dorothy F. Wiest; a daughter, Bonnie Maurer of Valley View; a brother Leon of Valley View; two sisters Hannah Williard of Gratz and Emma Machamer of Williamstown; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
