Mildred Schalk, 78 of Taylorville died onFebruary 14, 1990 in her ressidence.
She was born November 1, 1911 in May Township, the daughter of John and Ruth Atkinson Lowrance. She married Kenneth Schalk in Springfield on November 21, 1936. Mrs. chalk was a homemaker and lived her entire lifetime in Taylorville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband Kenneth, Taylorville, daughters, Sally Braughton, Taylorville and Linda Sanders of Assumption; one son Robert Schalk of Taylorville, one sister Julia Ryan of Taylorville, two brothers Nyle Lowrance of Anderson, California and George Lowrance of Sprinfield; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Theodore, one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held February 17 in the Connolly-McClure Funeral home with the Rev. Dr. John Curtis officiating with visittion the vening before at the funeral home. Burial will be made at Oak Hill Cemetery.
