Julia B. Ryan, 95, of Taylorville, Illinois died at 9:30 am Saturday, January 4, 2003 in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville, IL. She was born on August 23, 1907 in Taylorville the daughter of John B. and Ruth Atkinson Lowrance. On March 1, 1949 she married John L. Ryan in Assumption, IL and he preceded in death on January 30, 1990. Mrs. Ryan was emplyed at Sangamon Company and retired after 35 years of service, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville, a member of the Sangamon Company's 25 Year Club.
Surviving are Nephews and Nieces: Mick Ryan and wife Nancy; Rodger Ryan and wife Cindy; Terry Ryan and wife Lois; Bob Schalk;Sally Braughton all of Taylorville, IL; Linda Sanders and husband Jim of Stonington, IL; Patricia Wetnight and husband Robert of Orlando, FL; Leonard Ryan of Springfield, IL and Larry Curry of Peoria. Also Surviving are several Great Nieces and Nephews. 2 Sisters-in-law: Margaret Hedrick and Jen Royer both of Taylorville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, George Lowrance and Nyle Lowrance and a sister, Mildred Schalk.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Monday, January 6, 2003 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville with Father Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Monday in the church.
