Melvin Glenn Daniel of Idalou departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at the age of 69 years.

He was born on March 8, 1935, in Seymour, Texas, to the late Doc and Elizabeth Daniel. Melvin moved to Lorenzo in 1952 where he graduated from high school in 1953. He was a Baptist.

Those left to mourn his passing include Ann Daniel; his four children and their spouses, Randy and Debbie Daniel of Lake Forest, Ill., Billy and Jan Wells of Bourne, Texas, Bryce and Karee Daniel of Lubbock, and Mitch and Judi Daniel of Burleson, Texas; five brothers, Lewis, Chloe, Leonard, Lyman and Jerry Daniel; and 10 grand-children, Taylor and Tanner Daniel, Shawn and Austin Wells, Aaron, Kali, Trevor, Stephen Daniel, and Nathan and Chad Daniel.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Terry, Jeff Terry, Allen Terry, Scott Hockenberry, Rick Perez and Billy Sisk.

Formal visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11, at White Funeral Home of Idalou from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, at Idalou Cemetery with Billy Wells of Bourne officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home of Idalou.
