JONATHAN2 MARSH, b. at Hartford, CT, Sept., 1649, son of John1 and Anne Webster, dau. of Gov. John Webster, removed with his father's family to Hadley, Mass., in 1660 and there spent his life. He was freeman 1690 and representative to the Mass. General Court in 1701, in which year he placed his only living son, Jonathan, at Harvard college to graduate in 1705.
Jonathan2 Marsh m. July 12, 1676, Dorcas, widow of Azariah Dickinson, who was slain in the swamp fight near Deerfield, Mass. Aug. 5, 1675. She d. Aug. 15, 1723, Æ 69, (i.e., b. after Aug. 15, 1654.) He d. July 3, 1730, Æ 80 years and 10 months. Children:
• i. Dorcas, b. Dec. 29, 1677; m. Ichabod Porter.
• ii. Ann, b. Sept. 13, 1680; m. Samuel Cook.
• iii. Mary, b. Feb. 9, 1683; m. Wm. Dickinson.
