Barnes, Emily Grace Was born March 26, 1923. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 18, 2014 with her family by her side. She was a member of Greater St. James Temple C.O.G.I.C. for many years. She retired from the V.A. Medical Center after 28 years. Emily leaves to cherish her memory nine children, Cathy McIntosh, Louis (Lorenda) Richards, Florence (Odell) Metcalf, Elaine (Rodney) Hill, Marilyn (Steven) Wikner, Offie Barnes Jr., Pamela (Robert) Ritter, Cheryl Turner and Darlene (Donald) Smith, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and grandchildren. Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Offie Barnes; one son, Nathaniel Richards. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Greater St. James Temple COGIC, 2131 Wright Avenue, North Chicago, IL. Elder Torrance Markham, Pastor, Officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at North Shore Garden of Memories North Chicago, IL. Arrangements by Bradshaw & Range Funeral Home, 2513 Dugdale Road, Waukegan, IL.
