Norma L. Burton, 77, of Blue Rapids, KS, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville.

Visitation was Wednesday, February 12, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Celebration of Life was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 13, at the United Methodist Church in Frankfort. Rev. Norma Jeane Miller and Gary Phillips officiated.

Jane Sedlacek played the organ and Steve Gleason sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "Just a Closer Walk With Thee". The congregation sang "Amazing Grace".

The pallbearers were Leon Wassenberg, Jimmy Keller, Mike Caffrey, Bob Koch, David Burton, Shane Hartner and Larry Hicks.

The honorary pallbearers were Bill and Francie Myers, Julie Caffrey, Ellen Koch, Joan Hartner, Marge Larkin, Brenda Cottrell and Ashley Schmitz.

Burial was in the Frankfort Cemetery.

Norma was born October 27, 1936, at Winifred, KS, daughter of LeRoy and Minnie (Holder) Kenworthy. She graduated from Frankfort High School.

On November 2, 1958, she married Loren Burton at Beatrice, NE.

Norma was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a RSVP Volunteer. She worked for Southwestern Bell, Frankfort Index, J&R Grocery, Peckham Pharmacy, Valley Vet Supply and Pizza Hut.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loren; two brothers, Julius and LeRoy Kenworthy; and grandson, Tyler Land.

Survivors include two daughters, Diana (Mitch) Land and Sandy (Todd) Tegtmeier, all of Blue Rapids, KS; son, John (Lori) Burton, Topeka, KS; four brothers, Art Kenworthy, Joplin, MO, Ralph Kenworthy, Manhattan, KS, Howard Kenworthy, Aurora, KS, and Bob Kenworthy, Frankfort, KS; sister, Lorna Craft, Blue Rapids, KS; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Frankfort or Marysville Ambulance Services. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel.
