Elizabeth (Bakkalrud) Amlee was born in Norway, April 14, 1837, and died February 4, 1904, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. Madson, in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Gilbert Amlee and children came from Norway in 1880 to Black River Falls, Wisconsin. Three boys and two girls. The third son died in the Philippine Islands during the Spanish-American War.
