SARA AUDRIAN ANDERSEN passed away November 16, 2011. Born in Hahira, Georgia, she enjoyed all the benefits of a loving Christian family with the advantages of growing up in a small town.

After graduating from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, Georgia, Sara married Edward R. Andersen in 1943. Sara and Ed enjoyed a long and happy marriage of 61 years until Ed's passing in November of 2004.

Sara was a gifted Bible teacher for more than 50 years at Kirkwood Baptist Church, Kirkwood, MO, and First Baptist Church of Richardson. Professionally, she worked for 15 years in the Media Center at J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson.

Sara is survived by daughter Sharon Andersen Hale and husband Bill; son James Edward Andersen and wife Leah Jo; granddaughters: Jennifer Hale Hutchinson, Stephanie Hale Kern and husband Dave, and Theresa Jacob; three great-grand-children: Chelsea, Sara and Hanna Hutchinson; two nieces: Susan Sewill, Mary Ann Miller; and one nephew, Dwight McCall.

Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm, Friday, November 18th at Restland Funeral Home. Celebration service of Sara's life will be held at 1:30pm, Saturday, November 19th at First Baptist Church of Richardson. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Richardson, designated for the James H. and Irene Landes Scholarship Fund, in memory of Sara Andersen. The family of Sara Andersen praises God for the wonderful life of this Christian lady.
