Denise was born July 14, 1947, and peacefully passed away in her home on February 24, 2021, at the age of 73. A native of Alma, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Silas Tyle Boatright and Pearl Barber. Marrying her lifelong love, Stacy Lee, on March 8, 1963, she devoted the next forty- four years at his side, raising their three children and numerous grandchildren. On August 21, 2007, Stacy lost his fight with cancer. Denise spent the next fourteen years missing him every day. While waiting to reunite with him, she dedicated her time to mastering the game of Uno with her grandchildren and improving her skill of telling it like it is, all while sitting on her front porch.
She leaves behind a family that she was very proud of: Her two sons Tyle and Walt Lee, a daughter Sheila Dudley all of Alma, three sisters Bernice White of Blackshear, Doris Simpeler of Smith Station, Al, and, Barbara Ann McLean of Alma., seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Denise was welcomed into heaven by her beloved husband Stacy, brother Denny Boatright and sister Genelda Boatright. She was loved by many and will be missed by everyone, especially her family.
