Stever, Clayton ~ Peacefully passed away at St. Mary's General Hospital on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at the age of 86 years. Clayton Stever, of Linwood, was the beloved husband of Muriel (nee Walker) Stever. Dear father of Brian and his wife Heather of Topping, Suzanne McLaughlin and her husband Kim of Elmira, Kevin of Linwood and Bonnie Stever of Chatsworth. Loved grandfather of Shane (Ila) Stever, Shannon Stever (Ben), Christianne Stever, Chad (Allie) McLaughlin, Matthew (Steph) McLaughlin, and great-grandfather of Allen, Payton and Morgan. Dear brother of Fred (Evelyn) Stever, Merlene (Frank) Cernick, Clarence Stever and Irene (Bill) Irving. Predeceased by his brothers Wilbur and Murray Stever, and his sisters Norma Cook, Luella Schenk, Bernice Kneisel and Margaret Newhauser. Clayton was a lifelong farmer in the Linwood area and enjoyed selling corn seed to the area farmers. The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood, on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 1-3 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
