M. L. Lovelace On the morning of November 10, 1925, the death angel visited our home and claimed out-dear father for a better and brighter home. It was so hard to give him up and how our hearts ache for a glimpse of his sweet face and how sad and lonely our home is without him, but we know our loss is Heaven's gain and we hape to meet him where they will be no more sad farewells. Papa was in practically good health up until a few weeks before his death, but he bore his sufferings with a smile, looking forward to the home where there would be no pain. Papa was born August 30, 1848 and re sided here until his death. He was a member of the Midway Methodist church and lived a consecrated Christian life. He was superintendent of the Sunday school for a number of yeasr, always doing all he could for the uplifting of his church and community. He was a kind father and a loving husband. He is survived by his widow and five children: J. M. Lovelace, Birmingham, Ala.; J. W. Lovelace, Pine Bluff, Ark.; L. A. Lovelace, Mrs. S. W. Beall and Margie Lovelace, Rocky Ridge, and nine grandchildren, one sister, four half-brothers and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his departure. Funeral services were held at home and interment followed in the Sturkie cemetery. We would say to our sorrowing ones, put your trust in God and live so as to meet him in that mansion not made with hands.! We have lost our darling father He has bid us all adieu. He has gone to live in Heaven And his form is lost to view. Oh, that, dear one, how we loved him, Oh, how hard to give him up, But an angel came down for him And removed him from our flock. We loved him, yes, we loved him. But an angel loved him more, And they have gently borne him To yonder's glorious shore. Dearest father, thou hast left us, And our loss we deeply feel, But 'tis God that has bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal. Yet again we hope to meet thee When the day of life is fled, When in Heaven in joy we greet thee, Where no farewell tear is shed. His daughters, 13-1 wc N. B. and Margie L
