Virginia Mai Johnson, 88, of West Chester; "Ginny" a fashionable young at heart, passed away peacefully on Valentine's Day to join her husband Charles Leslie, daughter Valerie, and brothers, James Frederick, Dale Norris and Roland Lee Coover and sister Eliza Jane Coover; her loved ones in heaven, including her friend Bill.
She had been cared for by her beloved son, Charles Jr. and wife Nancy along with daughter, Jane Marie and sister, Yvonne Boyer and a team of wonderful nurses and nurse's aides.
She is survived by her brother, Ira Dale Coover and sister, Yvonne Boyer.
She lived an active life, loved hats, gardening, traveling, worshiped God and loved the grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
Life overview to be handed out at service which will be a celebration of her life.
Virginia loved red, white and blue.
Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at the United Methodist Church of West Chester, 129 S. High St., West Chester.
The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with interment at Greenmount Cemetery.
