Professional Football Player. For four seasons (1951 to 1954), he played at the center and linebacker positions in the National Football League with the Philadelphia Eagles. Born Kenneth David Farragut, Jr., he was raised in Mississippi, where he attended Moss Point High School. He played collegiate football at the University of Mississippi, prior to being selected by Philadelphia during the 6th round of the 1951 NFL Draft. He totaled 43 career regular season games and served as center for quarterbacks Bobby Thomason and Adrian Burk. Farragut distinguished himself, when he achieved Pro-Bowl honors in 1953. After retiring from football, he founded a successful roofing company. He was inducted into the University of Mississippi Sports Hall in 1988 of Fame and the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 1992. He died of complications from diabetes.
