Anna Catharina Barbara (did she go by Barbara?) Vogler was the sixth of ten known children of Philip Christoph Vogler (1725-1790) and Anna Catharina Seitz Vogler (1732-1770), who married 1746 at Louisberg, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Anna first married Jeremias (went by Joseph?) Elrod (1755-1841). Anna and Jeremias were the parents of eleven children, namely:
1. Maria Ellrod (1781-1785)
2. Catherina Ellrod (1783-1783)
3. Elisabeth Elrod Chandler (1784-???)
4. Michael Elrod (1786-1849)
5. Jeremias Elrod Jr. (1788-1857)
6. Anna Elrod Brown (1790-???)
7. Salome Elrod Harris (1792-???)
8. Herman Elrod (1794-1879)
9. Adam "Boss" Elrod (1795-p1856)

After the eleven children were born, Anna and Jeremias divorced. Jeremias took seven of eight living children with him to Wayne County, Kentucky where he remarried and had another seven children, eventually settling in Rutherford County, Tennessee. The youngest child, Joseph, stayed with Anna and later moved to Indiana.
Anna remarried to Philip Charles (went by Carl) Schott (1775-1845) on 26 Sep 1807 in North Carolina.
