Luke George Horner was the son of John Pleasant Horner 1877 – 1926 and Louretta "Rettie" Cockerham 1882 – 1948. His siblings were: Mollie L. HORNER 1869 – 1870; Thomas J. HORNER 1871 – 1871; Margaret HORNER 1872; James Deadrick HORNER 1874 – 1937; Mildred Roberta HORNER 1908 – 1975; Lawrence Venoy Horner 1910 – 1972; Joe Woodson Horner 1912 – 1989; John P Horner Jr. 1918 – 2001.

Sometime after the WWI draft registration and 1900 census John and Retta Horner probably sold their farm in Saint Clair, Hawkins Co., Tennessee, and moved from to West Point, Clay Co., Mississippi.

The 1900 census found the family had purchased a farm on West Point and Waverly Road in West Point, Mississippi.

On Dec 25, 1927 Luke claimed Lottie S. Wiley for his bride.

The 1930 census revealed that Luke and Lottie had a 1 year old little girl that they named Jean.

Currently the 1940 census is missing for Luke and family, and no farther documents are available until Luke and Lottie's deaths.
