Lexington - Service for Jessie Hutchens Doub, 89, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Memorials may be made to Crescent Hill Baptist Church or to a charity of one's choice. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Doub, wife of the late Lester Wilburn Doub, died Thursday, May 15, 2003. Born in Yadkin County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late George Thomas and Sarah Della Poindexter Hutchens.
A charter member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, she was also a member of First Baptist Church of Eutawville. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. "Bob" and Bettie Doub of Manning; daughter and son-in-law JoAnn and Bill Broome of West Columbia; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, David R. Doub, and great-grandson, Adam Doub.
