MRS. SUSANNA SIPES RINEHART, 84, life long resident of Mansfield and teacher of the late Warren G. Harding, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Hess in Lorain.
Before her marriage, Mrs. Rinehart taught school in the little town of Corsica, now Bloominggrove, Morrow county, which was her birthplace, and it was there that she had for a pupil the boy who was destined to become president of the United States.
Mrs. Rinehart left Mansfield last July to make her home with Mrs. Hess in Lorain. She was exceedingly active until she suffered a fall about a year ago here. She had been confined to her bed for the past three months.
Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Hess and Mrs. C. C. Kerr of Mansfield; four sons, Bonner, John B., Wade H. and Glenn, all of Mansfield; one brother, Dubois Sipes of Fredericktown; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Amos Rinehart and a daughter, Mrs. Daisy Ryder, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from the home of her son, John, Prospect St., with whom she had made her home before moving to Lorain. Rev. Leroy Deininger will conduct the services. Burial will be made in Mansfield Cemetery.
