Son of Louisa Jane Williams and Thomas Arnold Owen. Married Laura L Parkes 25 Mar 1896. Children: Perry Beular, Nettie Ethel, Lester Johnson, Maude Francis, William Chester, Daisy E, Ester Lee, Ida and Ruby.

WILLIAM OWENS DIES AT BETHANY HOME
William Groner Owens, 82, a retired farmer, died at his home in the Bethany community Friday.
Funeral services for the deceased were held from Bethany Baptist church Saturday at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. C. B. Massey and Rev. N. C. Fuqua. Burial followed in the Bethany cemetery.
A native of Macon County he was the son of the late Thomas and Louise Williams Owens.
He is survived by two sons, Chester Owens, of Red Boiling Springs, and Lester Owens of Lafayette; four daughters, Mrs. Elton Butler, of Red Boiling Springs, Mrs. Fairy Gulley, Lafayette, Mrs. Homer Carter, of Adolphus, Ky., and Mrs. Ruby Forkum, Westmoreland; two half sister, Mrs. Stella Williams and Mrs. Nellie Prowell, both of Red Boiling Springs; tow half brothers, Harley and Hardy Owens of Illinois; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
