Winnie Margaret Tanner Rogers Snowden 91, passed away at her home Thursday February 13, 2014. Mrs. Snowden was born in Johnsonville SC to the late Uly Benjamin Tanner and Lucille Eaddy Tanner Baxley. She was first married to Lucius L. Rogers of Indiantown SC who predeceased her in 1972. She later married Percy D. Snowden who predeceased her in 2003.



Mrs. Snowden was an active member of Indiantown Presbyterian Church where she was treasurer for the Women of the Church for over 50 years. She retired from Farmers Telephone Cooperative in Kingstree SC with over 25 years of service.



Mrs. Snowden was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose family was always first in her life. She was devoted to her family and leaves a legacy of beauty, truth, goodness, grace and love. The blessings of her life will be with us always.



Mrs. Snowden is survived by her children Nannette R. Calcutt of Pamplico Suzanne R. (Carroll) Harrelson of Florence and Luke (Amy) Rogers of Indiantown. Grandchildren, Thad (Adaire) Calcutt and Rhett (Monica) Calcutt Of Pamplico, Jon Luke and Suzannah Rogers of Indiantown, Great-grandchildren Lane, Sarah Grace and Riley Ann Calcutt of Pamplico, step-children Gessner (Bill) Dunn and Marianne Odom of Columbia, Omie (Bill) McClary of Darlington, 7 step grandchildren, 15 step great-grandchildren, and 1 step great-great-grandchild. Brother Uly Joe (Pat) Tanner of Indiantown and sister in law Pearline Tanner of Johnsonville.

She was predeceased by her brother Hermon M. Tanner and son-in-law Thadis D. Calcutt.



Funeral services will be held at 3PM Sunday February 16, 2014 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Indiantown Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 PM till 7 PM Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Morris Funeral Home, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.

The family would like to thank her caregivers; Crystal Truman, Ethelene James, Roberta Drayton, Sharon Graham, Sylvia Davis, Beth Prosser and Amedisys Hospice Nurses Melissa Poston and Adaire Calcutt for their loving care.
