A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Blackwell was a homemaker. She was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church in West Columbia and attended Mtn. Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving is daughter Chenelle Blackwell of Mtn. Rest, brother Dewey Stone also of Mtn. Rest, sisters Leathel Fulmer of West Columbia, Jeanette Stone of Mtn. Rest and Shirley Pell of Seneca and two nieces Donna Pell and Sandy Johnson.
Her husband, Tommy Blackwell, parents Robert Lee and Bessie Cobb Stone, brother J.R. Stone and sister Vera Stone precede her in death.
Funeral services will be 3 pm, Tuesday, September 30, 2008 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster. Burial will follow in the Mtn. Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
